I am filled with great pride and a keen sense of anticipation that Wellington College International Pune is opening, the first of such schools in India. I know that every member of the Wellington family of schools feels the same way too. Pune has long been regarded as the Oxford of the East, so where better for the latest member of our family to come into life for the next generation of Wellingtonians. Pune is a vibrant and pioneering city, which not only believes in pushing back boundaries, but also takes very seriously its responsibility for educating the leaders of tomorrow. It is my hope and firm conviction that Wellington College Pune will play a leading role in that educational mission."
